Bats are protected everywhere, and there is a maternity window — here, roughly April through August — during which exclusion is prohibited because the pups cannot yet fly. Sealing in that window kills them inside the structure.
Exclusion is the durable half. Removing an animal from a good site doesn’t make the site less good. If a quote is priced purely on catching the animal, it’s a job you will buy again.

Rabies-vector species — raccoons, skunks, foxes, bats. If anyone has been bitten or scratched, or a bat has been in a room with a sleeping person, that is a call to a doctor or public health immediately.
