1. What this site is
Lawn Phix publishes guides, product reviews, calculators and reference material. It is an information resource. We do not sell, perform or arrange lawn care, pest control, tree, gutter or landscaping work. Nothing on this site creates a service agreement between you and us.
2. How we make money
This site is free to read and is funded by affiliate links, advertising, and referral fees.
- Affiliate links. Some links to products are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not change the price you pay.
- Advertising. Pages may display ads served by third-party advertising partners.
- Referrals. Some pages offer to connect you with a local service provider. If you contact a provider through one of those connections, we may receive a referral fee. This is disclosed on the pages where it applies.
Commissions and referral fees never determine whether a product or approach is recommended, and brands cannot pay for a review, a ranking or a mention.
3. Service providers are not ours
Where this site connects you with a contractor, applicator or other service provider, that business is independent. We do not employ, supervise, license, insure, endorse or guarantee them, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with them.
Verify licensing, insurance and references yourself before hiring anyone. Any dispute over work performed, pricing or damage is between you and that provider.
4. Pesticides, chemicals and safety
This is the most important section on the page.
- The label is the law. Always read and follow the product label. Where anything on this site conflicts with a label, the label governs. Applying a pesticide inconsistently with its labeling is a violation of federal law.
- Product registration varies by state. A product discussed here may not be registered for sale or use in your state, and some states restrict products that are unrestricted elsewhere.
- Licensing varies by state. Some applications are restricted to licensed applicators. Check your state’s requirements before applying anything.
- Rates and calculators are a starting point. Our calculators are provided for convenience. Confirm every rate against the label before mixing or applying.
- Some jobs are not DIY jobs. Work at height, near power lines, involving tree felling, structural pest treatment, or wildlife handling carries real risk of injury, property damage or legal liability. Where a guide names a stop point, take it seriously.
You are responsible for your own safety and for complying with the law in your jurisdiction. You use this information at your own risk.
5. No warranty
Content is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is complete, correct or suitable for your situation. Lawns, soils, climates, pests and regulations differ, and results vary. Nothing here is professional agronomic, arboricultural, pest control, legal or financial advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content.
6. Third-party links
This site links to retailers, manufacturers, extension services and other outside sites. We don’t control their content, pricing, availability or privacy practices, and we aren’t responsible for them. Prices and product availability change without notice.
7. Use of our content
Articles, photography, calculators and graphics on this site are our property or used with permission. You may quote briefly with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish articles in full, scrape the site, or use its content to train machine learning models without written permission.
8. Privacy
We collect only what’s needed to run the site and respond to enquiries, and we don’t sell personal information. Advertising and analytics partners may set cookies. See our privacy policy for details.
9. Former lawn care customers
Lawn Phix previously operated a licensed lawn care service in Massachusetts. Those operations concluded on 31 August 2025, and account servicing transferred to Truly Lawn from 1 November 2025. This site no longer provides or arranges treatments, and the service terms that governed those accounts no longer apply here.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
