I’m always open to try new things. I’m constantly learning, too. So for 2021, I decided to do something new and go for an exclusive Kelp4less only lawn care plan.

Their products are amazing and have never failed me yet. For years at my old house, I always had dead patches of grass in the same three spots on my front yard – along the walkway and driveway where all the snow and salt would pile up over winter. It wasn’t until Extreme Blend literally brought those areas back to life – and literally made my lawn the greenest and healthiest grass on the block.

So the 2021 plunge is Kelp4less lawn care products only. I’ve embedded my personal plans below for you all to see. Here is a link to Google Drive. Feel free to download it or make yourself a copy in your personal Google Drive accounts.

Note: this is my personal plan for my home in 2021. You can use this as a guide if you, too, would also like to try, but I am primarily sharing this to prove (and document) that Kelp4Less can be used exclusively for your lawns – all while saving some money in the process.

All soil amendments, humic acid, micronutirents, fertilizers and lawn food will be Kelp4less products only. Nothing more. But a few caveats:

Kelp4less has a granular fertilizer, simply called Lawn Mix. It’s a 21-0-8 blend with sulfur and iron. It’s a 35 lbs. box and at 3.5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. will deliver about 3/4 lbs. Nitrogen / 1,000 sq. ft. Even better, they will soon be releasing a true Carbon X alternative called Carbon Phix on 4/14/202. Similar N-P-K percentages, but with the addition of carbon and humic acid.

For soil amendments, no surprise here, but I’ll be using their new line of lawn care products. Aeration + Yucca, Thatch Eater, Heavy Hitter, Micro Greens, and my new favorite, 5-1-1 Green Balance.

Fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides have already been purchased separately from LawnPro.

Again, if you decide that you would also like to loosely try this guide – great! If not, that’s cool too! If you only use one soluble powder product for your lawn all year, I would choose Green Lawn & Turf. But if you’re looking to switch from your current ‘biostim’ package plan, then this would be for you.

Be sure to follow Lawn Phix on Facebook and Instagram to see the progress of my 2021 Kelp4less only plan.
